“And before the sun sets on her 16th
birthday she shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and
die”, Maleficent cursed upon Aurora. Many of you may have or may not seen the
movie Maleficent, so you might be lost by what the quote represents. In the
movie Maleficent was the protector of the enchanted forest, and had the biggest
wings of all the fairies, which made her the strongest. She met a young man
named Stefan and fell in love with him, and he cut off her wings in order to
become the king of the kingdom. After that they became mortal enemies, and when
she had found out that King Stefan had a child she instantly went for revenge,
and cursed his daughter Aurora. That’s
when it all began. King Stefan sent her off as a baby with three fairy god
mothers to watch over her in order to keep her safe from spinning wheels, and
ordered them to bring her back the day after her 16th birthday. While
Aurora was getting raised in the enchanted forest Maleficent looked after her
as well, and soon loved her as her own, and Aurora looked up to her as a god
mother. When Aurora’s 16th birthday arrived she went back to the
castle to meet her father, and later that night she pricked her finger on a
spinning wheel. She went into a sleep like death, only to be awoken by true
loves kiss, which ended up being a kiss from Maleficent on her forehead. When
Aurora had awaken King Stefan realized Maleficent was in the castle he tried to
kill her, and Aurora helped Maleficent get her wings back, and they defeated
the king. Aurora had went back to the enchanted forest with Maleficent and
became the Princess of the forest.
