Nassi's performance



The medium performance that I attended was called “For the Love of Music”, performed by The University Choir. The performance was held in the Reynolds Recital Hall on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.  I attended to performance with my friend Hailey for moral support for Nassi. The performers were Northern Michigan University choir students called the Madrigal Singers, it was conducted by Lynne Lanczy, and Annette Brown. I believe the intended audience was the family members and friends of the people who were performing.
The performances consisted of 14 songs, and two dancing and singing performances. They sang a verity of different songs even a song in German. They sang songs by G.F Handel, Cesar Franck, Samuel Barber, Eric Whitarce, Emma Lou Diemer, Franz Schubert, Ron Staheli, Kenneth Jennings, and Bryon Smith. All of the songs were accompanied by a pianist.  I believe the function of the event in society was to widen the listeners’ range of music, introduce new songs that were written in the past, and to educate us on the meaning of them.
